Jobs for all the family

There is no place that highlights the diverse world we live in more than the choices made by our nearest and dearest – I’m talking about of course about career choices. This Christmas, surrounded by loved ones and friends, the topic of conversation turned (as it often does in my family – usually at the behest of an elderly aunt) to jobs.

Never before has there been more options in the job market. Although we are only slowly emerging from a recession and jobs are not quite abundant, the variety of employment options continues to grow. And, I have discovered from my family that, even two previously (very) alike relatives can end up doing entirely different jobs that each thoroughly enjoys. I suppose it shouldn’t surprise me, but the lesson is – with all the choice available – job satisfaction is there for the taking.
